Sciatica nerve pain

Hi ladies! I'm 40w 1d and can't walk because of my sciatica. I left a message for the doctor for advice on what to do but was wondering what y'all recommend to do. Thanks!

I suffered from sciatica nerve pain from month 5 on. I got the physio done, I was doing yoga for years but had to give it up cause I couldn't maintain balance any more. You would be surprised to find that in the end it was my husband who found the solution for me. Around week 36 he took the matter in his hands( he is very good with understanding how human body works) he started with first taking me out for walks, after 2 days he forced me to stop waddling and start walking normally like a non pregnant person would. It was thoroughly tiring and uncomfortable but we reduced the length we walked, but focused on the posture. After every walk he helped me stretch my legs by making me do cycling and pushing the folded legs up towards the tummy. With in 3 days the pain was reduced significantly. It also helped with baby dropping faster and once she moved down the sciatica pain was barely there. See if any of these tricks help you. Its not easy to force yourself to do all this by yourself but with a partner to push you through, it just might work. Its also safer than trying any exercises. All the best, I hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry... It is SO painful. I have had hip issues w all 3 of my pregnancies. 1st I had severe sciatic pain. Really there is much U can do. If that baby is lying on that nerve. Things I've done that help: stretch-look up prenatal yoga poses spend time doing the stretches. Some of my favorite are the warrior pose 1&2, pigeon pose. Also get an exercise ball-have knees bent on floor & just hug the ball this can help the baby suspend forward. Hope that helps. It's helped me-doesn't stop pain completely but makes a huge difference.
