Second baby new symptoms

Hello. For our first baby my wife experienced very few symptoms other than being a bit tired. Now with our second in our now eighth week, she has a whole bunch of symptoms. She is constantly nauseous and exhausted. It's mainly the feeling sick she feels that's the main difference. Also more cramps than last time. She is convinced now its going to be a girl because with our boy she didn't have this. My question is, is it common to have different symptoms with different genders, or is it just pot luck with the symptoms you get.
Also bloating, she's getting that more now than last time. Many thanks

I would like to know also!! I, like your wife, am also having new symptoms. I'm about to enter my 8th week as well with my 2nd baby... and with my first(baby boy) was a super easy pregnancy mostly being sleepy but nothing else really other than cravings. This time my pregnancy is way different nauseousness vomiting bloatedness fatigue etc. But the whole being sick thing is new. Congratulations to you both!

I am not sure this is the reason, but my husband and I just found that changing to a different prenatal helped a lot. We got ones from GNC, felt fine, switched to the doctor prescribed ones, felt miserable, changed back to GNC's and slowly I am feeling much much better. This is my second pregnancy and am 9 weeks.

Your body with each pregnancy feels the symptoms sooner then the last and more aches pains easily felt with the more babies you have!!!

Every pregnancy is different. No certain symptom is linked to a certain gender.  Congrats on baby #2

I think everytime is different. I am 15 weeks pregnant with #3 and all 3 have had totally different symptoms. My first was a boy, second a girl and we don't know this one yet.

Second pregnancy is harder than the first since a woman's body has changed.  I'm pregnant with my second and there are definitely things I didn't have to deal with the first time around! ( insomnia, breathing issues, crying all the time, etc)

Definitely insomnia is bad this time around for sure.

With my daughter I had no symptoms. Very easy pregnancy.  This time I'm 15 weeks 6 days and at the beginning I was very nauseous and was sick a few times. It finally passed. I've been super tired and barley can get out of bed and I get heart burn which I never had before. I find out tomorrow hopefully what we are having. Every pregnancy is different which I can clearly tell lol. Good luck to your wife
