Sleep aid

I just switched to 3rd shift and I'm finding it difficult to sleep enough during the day. Is there a sleep aid that I can safely take while pregnant. I'm currently 14 weeks if that makes any difference.

I work 2nd and 3rd shift... One piece of advice... Blackout curtains make a huuuuge difference. Definitely get some I'd you haven't already. Until you can get really used to sleeping during the day, any light will make it hard to sleep. (And even once you do get used to it, light still makes your sleep less restful.) Chamomile tea is relaxing, too.

I tried covering the Windows better today to block out more light and I actually slept longer today. Hopefully that's all I needed because i'd like to avoid any medication if possible.

Sleep masks are great! But make sure its a fabric and size that fits on your face comfortably. Has work for my insomnia for years cause I got sick of taking sleep meds.
