So fed up. Rant

I am currently 40+5 with no signs of labour starting. My last baby went to 41 +6. I am so so so fed up. Can't move, can't sleep, can't sit down, feet have swollen to balloons if I walk, groin pain, SPD pain, the pressure is intense, lightning crutch through out the day and night, leg cramps, this is the biggest I've ever been, in fact these are the first stretch marks I've had since my 1st 8 years ago. I'm massive. Nothing fits, I had to walk in the cold rain today in flip flops, no jumpers will fit. Sorry to rant I'm just so fed up and I don't even have an appointment u til Friday so I'll be 41 +2. I can't moan to my partner, bless him he's autistic so has many really got any empathy. If I ask for a foot rub he rushes it so I can do his feet (he's a butthole :D). Someone make me feel sane again. Im glad this is my last baby, I don't think I could handle going over again.

I totally get you. I'm 41 weeks tomorrow. Going late *****. My first went to 42+4 before I was induced. He wasn't big, so I'm not going to be induced this time round no matter how late I go unless baby starts having issues.

I've worn nothing but flip flops for the past two months and I have to wear my wedding ring (which has already been resized once) on my pinky. And lighting crotch? Oh my goodness. The lighting crotch is real. :/

And today, my 18-month-old started cutting a new tooth and has been feverish and clingy and cries everytime I put him down. It's hard to carry around a 25-pound toddler all day when your stomach's the size of a watermelon!

I tried to convince my husband that I deserve some serious pampering. As in a babysitter, a prenatal massage, a pedicure,  and some Starbucks...he was not convinced. Haha

Hang in there momma! You're in the home stretch. And don't forget to take care of yourself while you're busy caring for everyone else. <3

I'll be fine i think the lack of sleep gets to me some times. I'll sleep for about 3 hours, then need to move but because my SPD o have to wake up and I've now started sleeping head at the bottoms of the bed, as I physically can't roll anymore, then about 2 hours later I have to go back to the top of the bed again (so I can swap sides) for about 2 hours a then, 1 1/2 years other side (then so on). I know the newborn stage is hard the first 6 weeks is the toughest but I'd rather that than this. At least I could move. I've been lucky with my youngest. She's just 12 months, she's not very needy, she's so independent it's crazy, walking/running around and my two eldest at 7 and 8 help out loads, my 8 year old hoovers everyday and helps with the washing etc... and thankfully the kids are off school this week (half term) so no School runs (which is great because I can't fit behind the steering wheel ) just waiting to get back to normal. :)

You should get a massage, no one around here does them, I hope baby makes an appearance soon for you very soon. As much as labour *****, I wish you pain. :D

So why don't you ask for a sweep then at your next doctor visit?

Idk if it's the op's case, but if you haven't started dilating yet you can't get a sweep.
Her they won't sweep until you are at least 7 days over as it's not my first baby. Here in the U.K. Unless there's a medical reason for it, they really don't like to interfere. I sat there crying at my last appointment, my midwife said it's not long left, I should know the drill now. I had two sweeps with my last baby,  it didn't help at all.
