Hey ladies. I'm 16 weeks pregnant and have a nasty stomach bug. I'm so scared I will get dehydrated. I'm so dizzy and just feel awful!!! Any advice?

You're welcome. You're gonna be okay. I know how bad it *****. But baby will be just fine and so will you. If you get to the point where you go six hours without having to pee while you're up during the day then you want to call your ob and ask if they think you need some fluids. If you stick out your tongue and it's dry, you're getting to the danger zone. But most of the time bugs like that are self-limiting and you'll get better before it really gets that bad. Keep that water bottle nearby. Good luck.

Little sips of water. Rest. If you can keep anything down you should definitely be eating bland soft foods - we call it the BRAT diet (bananas raisins applesauce and toast) and I know it's miserable butjust keep on drinking little sips of water so you don't overwhelm your system but continue to get some intake.
I had a nasty bug, the norovirus, when 7mo pregnant with my son. Didn't eat for three days or more, I just couldn't. It was miserable but didnt end up becoming too dehydrated. If you can keep water down you'll be okay. Baby has lots of amniotic fluid in there, baby will be a little hungry but just fine.
