If you go on the NHS website it tells you what you should and shouldn't eat. I love sushi so I checked it out for myself. The concern of eating raw fish is that it could harbour parasites but the say if it has been frozen then eaten raw it should be fine. :)

Thank you girls.. I am confused because it happened and i asked my nurse and she told me that eating sushi is ok as long as i eat rvery 2 weeks .. But the problem is that she made a huge mistake by telling me my blood type is b_ and it is actually b+ !!! And she was going to send me to take an injection for that .. But thank God I discovered this mistake... So I don't trust her anymore and i am afraid if she mislead me by eating sushi the past few weeks ago :( by the way the medical centre replaced her with another nurse that i am going to meet tomorrow

I ate sushi through all 3 of my pregnancies and my babies are fine. Just stay away from the fish that are high in mercury.

My doctor recommended me not to, most articles i read too stated its not safe to eat. I would not take a chance to eat raw meat, chicken, seafood or pork.

It's absolutely fine.  I believe in the USA women are told not to eat raw sushi for some reason, it seems to be due to a complete misunderstanding about the difference between eating raw meat (like chicken or pork) vs eating raw seafood (like sushi).  Raw chicken is *never* safe and especially dangerous during pregnancy.  Raw sushi is safe when you're not pregnant and also when you're pregnant.  Just go to a restaurant with good food hygiene, same as you would for anything.

Women in Japan eat sushi all through pregnancy and no one bats an eyelid.  I've eaten sushi (raw and cooked) through both pregnancies.
