Things to start labor

I'm 38wks and the doctor said my cervix is thinned out but I'm not dilated. She also said the baby's head is way down. What are some things I could do to start dilating?

Whoever said sex worked is lying( well it depends on the baby) my husband and I had sex from the time I turned 36wks until 39wks 2days and it didnt even start or dilate my cervix. I had a beauriful baby girl today and the nurse checked my cervix and it was closed. It all depends if the baby is ready and how your boby reacts

Your baby will come when they're ready :) The American College of Gynecology and Obstetrics recommends all babies estate until 39 weeks to reduce the risk of breathing difficulties after birth. I know these last few weeks SUCK,  but trust your body and your baby to do what they need to do. ♡

I'm 34 weeks and thinned cervix and my husband and I are having sex a lot now BC my doctor wants me to have my baby early BC I have gestational diabetes and every time we have sex my baby drops more and more each time and ever since we been having sex is when I started thinning. Trust me I hate sex right now but its the quickest way so far for me to start contracting stay on top don't have him on top though

Go for a long walk or hike at local "hilly" park. Sex, sex, sex, and more sex! It does work! Also, have your partner ejaculate in you. It helps to start the process. It has something it that affects the cervix and can jump start contractions. Also, have your partner play with your nipples a lot. That works too. Good luck hun.
