Thinking About Taking Castro Oil

Would love to hear you ladies opinions, facts, experiences and advice on the subject. I'm a FTM 40wks nd my Doct will be scheduling an induction this Friday for my baby boy if he doesn't come by then. I heard that makes labor worse.

Castor oil also makes baby poop. Its best to tell your Dr your going to take it. I am being induced on Thursday. Its all on your body contracting if it hurts worse or not. I have never been induced both my other kids were all natural and that pain was horrible but its worth it and its only a day. But that's my opinion.

I did the castor oil thing the other as I am also overdue FTM . I just did 2tbls mixed with orange juice.
6 1/2 hrs later I was pretty much a slave to my toilet for 3 hours and still now days later all the food I eat turns to liquid.
My baby is fine still moving around like she just don't care :)
It can work for some and not for others.
I have done everything else under the sun but I'll be induced on Wednesday

There's an old wives tail that tgey used to give unmarried pregnant women caster oil to make tgem miscarry. I've only heard that it makes you feel sick. I'm 5 days overdue & sticking with the safe stuff sex, walking, spice food, pineapple, raspberry leaf tea etc. Nothing has worked so far. I don't want to be induced so opting for daily monitoring at the hospital from next Tuesday.  Come on baby!!

My Dr had talked to me about inducing. He said some women it makes it take a little longer for labor so they think its harder but he seemed like he didn't think so. Prelabor takes a while so it probably feels like forever because you are not at home. My sister was induced and she had a shorter labor than I did. I've only seen good experiences with inducing. I personally would rather be medically induced rather than ingesting something that won't be monitored and I don't know how my body would react. That's just me...

Castor oil only makes you go toilet. It's not good in a way you may give birth in the toilet. Raspberry leaf tea is good and walking even sex is good

I dnt want to be induced either I have my fears about that as well, but me personally I dnt trust castor oil it just doesn't seem safe. My friend would've been induced because he baby hadn't made any progress and she was two days shy of her duedue date when her water broke and baby was born four hours later! Just talk with your doc, something's we fear are for the best. Maybe baby will come before Friday on his own! Good luck

I took castor oil & it just gave me cramps. I'm getting induced as I type & the contractions are painful & i also have a balloon in to help me dilated.

Its dangerous for some but not all just be careful. I know a few ppl who took it and lost or almost lost baby due to bowel movement in the womb and I know ppl who took it and were perfectly fine. Just talk to your Dr. About it.
