Unrelated to pregnancy, but please help

Hi Ladies,

My question is not pregnancy related, but you all were so helpful when I was pregnant with my son 3 years ago I know this forum gets a lot of readers.

I have not been on birth control for 8 months now. I am 31 years old, and have an almost 3 year old boy.  I do want another baby eventually, but we are not trying right now.

My cycles have been 27 days without fail for the past 8 months.  They last about 6 days.  Last month I took prednisone for 5 days to help with a terrible respiratory infection.  I had got my period 3 days early, and assumed it was do to that medication...which was listed as a short term side effect .  Now I just got my period 3 days earlier again.  Has this ever happened to anyone else taking that medication?  Or could it be something else?  Thoughts anyone?

Ive never heard of prednisone messing with your cycle. Maybe the combination of u not feeling well and the steroid May have something to do with it. If they gave you antibiotics with it it may have messed with your birth control.

Glad to hear from you and hear all is well. While I'm not familiar with the med you were on but I've had my cycles change out of no where. Before I had my daughter in 2011 I had 28 day cycles with out a fail and then boom they went to 25 day. I have no clue as to why but then I got pregnant and then after her they stay at 25 days. I'd give it a couple more cycles and if they stay shorter ask your doctor if you want.

I think it just take some time for if to wear off. Give it another month and then ask the doctor.
