Vaginal itching

I'm 23 weeks and from last 3 weeks I have severe itching in my vaginal area. I told my doc she gave me a broad spectrum anti fungal cream. But it's not helping me. Please any one advice what should I do to treat this.

I had thrush (vaginal infection) and was told to use the pills you insert into vagina at night. Was meant to do 1 tablet inserted for 6 nights but the packaging said i could insert 2 for 3 nights. At day 2 i was feeling no irritation and discharge had gone. Apparently the suppository type that you insert are less risk than the ones you take orally. You can soak a tampon in natural yoghurt and leave it in over night also. Try google natural remedies for thrush if you are to worried about using the suppository but i would have your doctor do a vaginal swab to make sure exactly what it is

Sounds like it's a yeast infection from what you're describing.....I would tell the doctor that the medicine is not working and ask them to swab you so you can get the correct medicine and get this taken care of before it gets out of hand.....it can cause other issues if not taken care of properly.

Thanks ladies for the tips. I am stil on it. No my doctor haven't checked what kind of infection it is.  She just prescribed clotrimazole cream and suppositories. Suppositories I haven't used yet as I'm scared of its side effects. And yes I'm having a discharge curdish to transparent sometimes.

Did your doctor swab you to check to see if it's not bacteria vaginitis or a yeast infection? I know anytime I have the slightest issue down there my doctor swabs me and sends it off to get it checked.

Try warm to cool water, hot water might make it more itchy also after you shower or take a bath try gently patting dry ur Vagina And airing it out by lying down with u legs open before you put on underwear,  maybe even not wearing under and try loose  pajama pants on no pants or underwear at all. Also your PH balance might be off so try  vaginal wash specifically made for your vagina, NOT soap! Good luck!

Sounds disgusting but put 1 Clove of fresh garlic peeled with the top and bottom cut off in your vagina overnight. It worked for me I was a bit sceptical but it worked. Obviously don't have sex whilst it's in and if you want you can thread some cotton through it so it's easier to remove the next day. Do you have like a lumpy white discharge?
