Vaginal swab

I did a vaginal swab for the first time and because I hadn't ever put a tampon on it took me about a half hour just to get the cotton bud in, then I realised I had to unscrew the cap to place it into the jelly and I'm just wondering if I've even collected enough specimen for them to investigate and determine if I have strep b or whatever it is they need to find out what I have. I just hope I did it right because I just did it this morning and I'm hoping everything goes ok. I turned the swab stick more then several times and even when I took it out I felt like it looked as though nothing was even on the cotton bud. Is this normal? I really don't want to do another swab test but if they can't find anything on there they might just make me do it. I'm so worried I did it wrong. :(

First of all why isn't your OB/midwife taking the swab?!
And I kinda wondering how you've never had one done as they are standard at your yearly exam...

Just throwing it out there your dr ***** if they didn't do it themselves and secondly it doesn't matter if you've never used a tampon or not you've had sex a penis is a lot bigger than that qtip.
