I had a similar episode where I bled bright red blood at 6weeks.Usg showed a heartbeat but I had a subchorionic hemorrhage(a small collection of blood just behind where my baby was implanted). I was advised 1 week complete bed rest & was put on progesterone supplements. I havent bled since then and went in for a scan yest at 8weeks 6 days to see that my little jellybean had grown to 8w+ with a strong heartbeat of 170/min.the subchorionic hemorrhage was still there but hoping it will disappear by my next scan at 12weeks.I just have to be careful not to exert myself & get proper rest whenever I can & my ob gyn told me the hemorrhage will subside slowly on its own.Heres hoping you too have a safe pregnancy.

I had a similar situation although I lost mine at 6 weeks. The difference however was that they could not see a heartbeat because it was tubal. Good news is it sounds like you're baby is implanted properly if they didn't tell you otherwise during the ultrasound. I would get in to see your OB as soon as possible. I also had a friend in your exact situation. She carried to full term but was on bed rest most of her pregnancy and had to get her Hcg levels checked every week. She also needed a blood transfusion at one point. Expect to be monitored closely and possibly taken of work.
