When I had my son they let me go home the next day. I never did anything but pee at the hospital. I never had an urge to either. I had to get cut so I didn't until I was home for three days after my areas were feeling a bit better. I cannot use the bathroom unless I'm comfortable and that's not going to happen at a hospital LOL Good luck girl!

Ok I am concerned about the BM after delivery too. I know it has to happen to go home. Has anyone had extreme constipation before labor (particularly a c-section) and internal hemorrhoids, and been able to go in the first couple days after delivery? I'm afraid I am psyching myself out.

2 weeks. It was one of the worst experiences in my life. I almost went to the hospital. Not te young to be gross but it was HUGE. But I got it out by myself. Just make sure to take lots of collage and drink lots of water along with fiber!!

I gave birth on Thursday by c-section and still haven't had a BM yet. I'm waiting and they are giving me stool softeners twice a day here in the hospital.

I don't remember how long it took, but it definitely hurt for me after both kids.  It doesn't help that I also tore with both of them, so the pressure in that area made it uncomfortable.

I had an enema before delivering my son I think it was at least a couple days before I had a BM. I never took anything to soften the stool and I was fine

Took me almost 3 days with my first, and I think almost 2 with my second, but I had c-sections if that mmakes a difference.

The next day. Both times for me I had one within 24hrs. After a while I told them I didn't want the stool softeners anymore cause I went about 3 times in the hospital. Didn't want it to hit me on the long way home lol

With both of my kids it took up to 48 hours. Plus the hospital wont let you leave unless u have a bowel movement.
