Madela definitely. I bought one after lending a madela one from hospital. Granted it wasn't a £2000 one like the hospital but it's definitely a great piece of kit. I intend to use mine again this time :)
Medela and Ameda are the best
I have the medela electric double pump so far I love it.
Pumps do need maintenance. You have to replace parts in it because they get flimsy over time and lose suction. The machine is still good though. Medela is usually the best brand. As for electric working better than manual, that is a personal preference. It isn't all about the harder the suction the more milk. My body stopped responding to the electric pump and barely responded to the manual. I mostly nursed, so randomly pumping my body just didn't have the stimulation and reaction I got from my daughter.
First call your insurance. Most cover a pump. But medela is the best. Which ***** they're so expensive. I got an ameda from my insurance its a 180$ pump and it already has lost suction after 2 months. I use my manual medela pumps I do both at the same time. Although I can do the hands free like I would like its easier they work good and they were free.
I bought a used medela swing electric pump and bought new accessories like nikki4289 then it's practically like buying new
I used the first years with my son (Target brand) and I hated it I have a madela pump I bought off someone for $60 I am buying brand new accessories so it will be clean and sterilized, and I'm so ready to use it. Lol I am hoping I can get more milk in a shorter amount of time. :) ♡ good luck to you!
My pediatrician told me Medela over other brands. She said to make sure you get the electric and double pump. She said other brands weren't as strong as the Medela and didn't get as much milk. She also recommended the bustier that goes with it so your don't have to hold both pumps on your breast. She did say as well that the ones you typically rent from a hospital are usually even stronger than the $200-300 ones you buy in the store. I am personally buying the Medela though.
