We have 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, a one year old and a baby on the way. When I was pregnant with my first all I was getting was either. "That's far to many animals you'll have to give them up!" Or "So I take it you're getting rid of the cats?" We trained the cats not to go in the babies things before she came using  a spray bottle of water and we've never had a problem. In fact she's particularly friendly with one guinea pig and our younger cat.

Buy a Ssscat. I bought two and love them.  It is a bottle of compressed air with a motion sensor on the top that will "spay" when your cats comes near. It trains them very fast to stay away. You can Google it for demo videos. I bought mine at Petsmart.

My cousin uses the spray bottle.. It works great they haven't had any problem with their two cats and the baby.. They also have two dogs! And have no problem with any of them but you may want to start before the baby comes set things up that gives you a chance to have them fully trained by the time the baby comes! Good luck

I trained my dog before my first was born to not get on the bed or couches anymore and I put a baby doll in the bouncer and in the bed and treat it like it was real so he knee and now he has passed away and we have no inside animals now and I'm not sure how much this will help cause cats r way different maybe use a spray bottle with water to keep them off the stuff!
