I will definitely circumcise my boy. My first one was in the hospital he had no issue this boy will be. My husband is why not? My nephew had problems with his he had to get it done at age 8. It is the most painful thing when they get older. Plus circumcise penis are the least to be infected specially with stds and other diseases.

I got my son circumcised,  and if I had another boy,  I would too. A man I work with didn't have it done, he had complications and had to get it done at 9 years old. He said that it was terrible. My son doesn't remember it and will not have to endure it later in life.

If our baby is a boy my husband wants to have it done because he & everyone in his family have been circumcised but after everything I have read I just don't believe it's necessary. I've been with guys that weren't & they never had a problem. It is purely cosmetic & I believe if you are born with it, it's there for a reason. People think it's more sanitary but with all the risks it brings-infections & botching, I'm very against it. It's natural, we wouldn't dream of doing something so invasive & painful to a little girl here in america & in some parts of the world baby girls have their clitoris removed...I don't think there should be a double standard.

Watch a video of it being done. My mom was giving so much hell about not wanting to do it. I showed her the video last night and she cried. Now she understands my decision. Baby girls don't get their vaginal canal stich up because cleaning or not cleaning it well could bring infection.  To barbaric for my son's first day of life.

I am expecting my first baby and my husband and I have already made the decision to go for it because of all the benefits he will have. Also we dont want him to struggle later as an adult

My husband is circumcised so our son will be too. I dated a 40 year old about 5 years back, he was circumcised but his ex wife wouldn't let their son be circumcised. He was 14 when we were dating and I remember him feeling different and ashamed he wasnt like his dad so that's mostly why I'm doing it.

My first son was circumcised because i didnt want him to struggle and push his skin back everytime he needs to clean it or when he gets older it will be easier for him. My 2nd boy im havin will be circumcised if my insurance can cover it. I think its best for them to be circumcised my opinion.

I didn't even worry about it. It hasn't been common practice herr or considered necessary since the 1970s.

My husband isn't circumcised, so if we have a boy, we will probably not have it done.  I don't believe we as parents should inflict our aesthetic views on our children.  If he wants it done when he's older, them yeah, he'll get it done.  I must definitely will NOT pierce my little girls ears either.

I feel that decision is no more different than waiting until a little girl is old enough to decide on ear piercings since that is cosmetic. It does vary depending on your geographical location. I had my four year old circumcised as an infant because his father was military and informed me of the fact that older uncircumcised men are more susceptible to catching stds. But again it up to the individual parent. I just don't understand the bias against it when people are so quick to make decisions regarding pain and beauty for a little girl. I'm preggo now with one and she will gets hers done when she is old enough to ask.

Also you should not push the skin back until it retracts on its own. My son is 2 and it hasn't retracted, our pediatrician (who is against circumcision) said it usually retracts on its own around 5 yrs old. Then you have to teach them to push it back and clean.

I didn't do it because I did the research and couldn't put my little boy through that.  People say it's harder when they are adults but I don't agree. None of my brothers were circumsized and then one of them at 18 decided to have it done. It was a simple in office procedure and he healed up quick. My other two brothers are in their 20s and 30 and never have wanted it. I think it's good to leave it up to the boy to decide later.

I want it done but my hubby is against it so it wont be done. I just find circumcised penis to be cleaner and easier to wash. Plus i saw wat my brother went through, he had too much foreskin and he suffered wit pain and eventually had to get it done yrs later wen he was a teen. But i agree, its a personal choice, mostly optional cosmetic. In in Toronto and u have to pay $250.bcuz its elective

None of my boys are circumcised, I just felt it was unnecessary. I have 4 boys and 1 girl. I am expecting another boy, he also will not be circumcised. I definitely did not want some of my boys or just one of them to be circumcised and not the others. So after making the decision not to have circumcised my first boy, me and my husband decided not to to have circumcised any of our boys. It's a personal decision! I honestly just did not want my newborns to go under any unnecessary pain, regardless if they were small.

We didn't circumsize our so either. I look at it as, if it weren't meant to be there it wouldn't be. It's a very personal choice, so do your research. Arm yourself with knowledge and make the right choice for your family and your little boy.

My first son isn't and this one won't be. And none of my ex's were and didn't have issue. I think its cosmetic so I think I shouldn't be able to make that choice for him.

My husband is from Germany but we live in the USA, and we are having a boy.  It is a confusing decision to make.  We decided to circumcise based on the fact that he will be growing up in America and it's pretty normal here to have it done.
