cramps at 4w4d

I've had bad bad cramping since about 3-4 days before my missed period. I took a hpt and got a big ol' positive :D however, the cramping worries me. They haven't abated at all. Sitting and laying down are the worst positions while standing/walking is the best.

Have any of you experienced bad cramping like this? Its as bad as and sometimes worse than period cramps :[

I'm not spotting, but I have 2 previous miscarriages. I've been taking prenatal for about 6 weeks (baby is planned)...but still :/ I'd love to hear from others who have been in similar situations!

I had period type cramps from about three days before missed period until I was 6 wks pregnant.  They just finally went away.  I'm 14.5 wks now :). The same thing happens when I was pregnant with my daughter.

I am 10 weeks and 4 days and have had mild on and off cramping since I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks and some days. I have had many miscarriages so naturally I am worried. I see my regular OB and a high risk every 2-3 weeks and everything is fine. If it gets bad where you are dubbed over in pain or a consistent pain, then maybe call your Dr with your concerns. I did once at 8 weeks and they had me come right in and do an ultrasound and baby was there heart beating and bouncing around :) Now I get then here and there but I know my body is stretching and making room :)

Same exact situation as you. Taking prenatal vitamins for at least a month and a half, severe cramping pains 5 days before my expected cycle. nothing including ibuprofen or a heating pad helped me.  Standing or sitting made it worse but walking helped eventually.  Found out 2 days after expected period i was pregnant.  4 weeks exactly pretty much.  Pain did not go away until maybe 6 weeks but every now and then i get some cramping or cervical\vaginal discomfort.  My 7w6d ultrasound was perfect measuring just that and heartbeat.  Now i am 10 weeks terrrible breast tenderness, but at least the cramping went away.

My mother had same bad cramping both her pregnancies and she had a history of muliple miscarriages before my sister and I. I think youll be fine

I started with cramping pains from week 2-3. My doctor wasn't so positive at the time and never explained that they were normal but since then I've heard of so many women that have them early on. I would mention it to your doctor but pls don't worry. The only relief I could get was by taking gaviscon and then lactoloose. They lasted about 2 weeks for me.

I'm 16 weeks and have had period type cramping since day one.  I was told cramping is normal in early pregnancy as long as u have no bleeding or spotting.  But I would still mention it to ur doctor
