due date a month LATER than originally thought?

Hello,

According to my LMP (01/29/13, 26 day cycle) I should be around 11 weeks pregnant. However, today I went in for a transvaginal ultrasound and the tech said that she thought I may have a blighted ovum because she couldn't see anything in the gestational sac and it was only measuring at a little over 6 weeks. She forwarded the ultrasound to my CNM who called me and said that she believed that everything was normal and that my due date was just off by a month. I don't understand how my due date can be a whole month off when I took a pregnancy test a few days after my missed period (should have started 02/25) and it was positive. Does this make sense to anyone else, or has anyone else had an experience like this?

Did you tell them when you got your bfp? That's kinda how they did me with mine. Made out like I wasn't as far along as I had thought, I had scan at 6 weeks showing a 4 week sac and again at 9 weeks showing a 6 week sac and 13 weeks it still showed 6 weeks but nothing but a blob in it :( .i knew my dates cause I was tracking and trying. I have two healthy boys 10 and 12 , then had a missed m/c( B ovum) chemical pregnacy then another m/c at 9 weeks. Now I'm fixing to be 30 weeks pregnant with my third son.

That's what i thought as well, but for some reason my CNM seems to think otherwise and just says we'll do another ultrasound at the beginning of may. and they haven't asked me to do any blood work either. It is all very confusing! My first pregnancy was so easy and this one has just thrown me for a loop.

It does sound like a blighted ovum. I went through this before and I never bleed or anything. They finally had to do a dnc at 13 weeks. :(

I should also mention that I have had no cramping or bleeding and still feel pregnant.
