I dont know what to get my hubby but he is a cheesecake fanatic. Found a recipe on kraft. anyone think its a better idea than a gift? We are scraping the barrel and most of the ingredients are already in the pantry. This will be his first child and he treats my daughter as his own. They love each other dearly. I want his first fathers day to be special. Opinions please.
My uncle whom stays with me has been helping me out ( well not officailly uncle anymore was related to him cause he was married to an aunt) got to see his four kids today. Him my blood related uncle and my aunt(married to my blood related uncle) their son me and my son all had a day out we had a picnic at the park came to my place watch movies played video games had a blast playing family touch football ( was touch football due to me being pregnant) then me and aunt cooked steaks baked potatoes and corn on the cob for supper I also baked a chocolate marble cake with vanille icing for dessert we had a family game night after that. Breakfast wise we did our own thing I cooked for the uncle staying with me and his kids ( blueberry pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes and homemade doughnuts) not sure what all my blood related uncle and his family had they are more into bacon hashbrowns eggs biscuits basically the works breakfast wise. But over all it was a great day everyone enjoyed and had a blast no cards or gifts were done this year just good old quality all day family day.
Money is tight for us too, so I made my hubby a hearty ham & veggie quiche for breakfast, Chicken & cheesey potatoes for dinner & caramel brownie sundaes for dessert. He felt like the most special daddy to be-and I have one more surprise for him after bedtime...he keeps asking me to dress my bump in lingerie-so I think tonight's a good night to indulge...lol
Homemade gifts are better than any kind,of gift bought because it comes directly from you. Go on girl mame him that cheesecake for his belly:)
The saying: the best way to get to a mans heart is his stomach. Is true for my husband. We are food fanatics but aren't obese. He is a cook and damn good but i'm the baker in the family. I love me some cakes n brownies!
For mine, since we're tight on money, I made him a seafood consume and he's happy lol

I think hm made gifts are the best. Make him the cheesecake and a homemade card! He will luv it. I made my hubby a photo collage travel mug for his 1st fathers day with our daughter(ideas for next yr). You can have your daughter draw cute card of the 4of you
