You are NOT a failure, you'll still have your baby at the end and that's all that matters! I would have made the same decision you did!

Trust your gut on this one. Nobody knows your body better than you and if you've already had a problem before, risking a second incident could end differently. Good luck mamma.

Definitely do not feel like a failure but I know the feeling! After over 24 hours of induced labor resulting in nothing, I had one and later felt like a failure too. I probably would've made the same decision as you, honestly.

I would have tried for vaginal as well.. I had a c section and the healing is rough especially with having to take care of a new born.  Good luck lady! Hope all goes well for you and baby!

Recovery is rough no matter what.  I would love to deliver vaginally, but a last minute change like that would stress me out and I'm not sure what I would have done.  You are doing what you thought was best for you, so don't feel bad.

I would have tried vaginal if I were you. Recovery is going to be rough for you.

Not a failure! You had prepared for the c-section. Switching last minute can be very overwhelming. I just hope your doc gets the insurance to pay for it. Insurance companies like to refuse claims if they are deemed not medically nessarry

Absolutely not a failure. The end result will still be the same. Dont beat yourself up. A c section is still a big thing and is still a big step. Just take a deep breath and get ready to meet your baby xx

I feel like you should have tried for the vaginal? C sections come at greater risks why would u opt to do one if u don't have to??

Don't feel like a failure.  Everyone is different, and you have been mentally preparing for this operationfor weeks.  Do check with your insurance though, just in case.

Sometimes we go with our instincts for a reason as mothers my daughter was a c section. They keep turning her externally and she would turn back around they did this twice and was getting ready to do it a third and I said no were not doing that again. She was born with her cord wrapped around her neck twice if she would of came naturally she wouldn't of made it.
