What's matter at this point is you to go to the hospital and check how's your baby doing.   Why suit.  Was that bad ?  Baby is more important than anything else.

As someones whose waitressed for years..any spillages were not allowed to leave we gave to stand over them until a wet floor sign comes and it gets cleaned up..i know people who have tried to claim for falls etc (dont know the outcime) and its quite common..i actually stopped waitressing whilst pregnant as i was getting such bad stomach cramps and back aches and expected to carry and walk just as mych and cover the hsrdest sections exactly as before..so i decided too quit..my baby meantbtoi much to me..im sure your msin priority is your baby at this point...you should be able to work in a safe environment so i say go for it..but keep an eye in that baby, maybe get a check uo if you havent already

Why would you be worried about a lawsuit? For an easy buck? At whose expense? Your employers? The server who probably makes the same amount of money as you? You havent even gone to a doctor but feel entitled that someone shoukd have to pay for your sore knee? Accidents happen! Be glad your baby is okay. Good grief. Not to be rude but what kind d of person are you? Do you spill hot coffee on yourself in the McDonald's drive thru ho pong to make it rich? Bad karma....

As a former manager and husband is a general manager, it's unfortunately the servers job to see recognize the spill and get the sign.it seems like you were doing the right thing by saving a customer suing your company and something went wrong :( Go get checked out asap and put the lawsuit thought on the back burner to save you from unwanted stress.xoxo

I don't think it could be a lawsuit but maybe workers comp.  They don't sound like they were negligent.  They can't go ahead of you with a mop at all times, right?  And you are an employee.  So, I'd not think in terms of law suit.  And convincing a jury to give you money for that would be difficult.
But if you are injured and cant work, workers comp may help.  That comes into play when an employee gets hurt on the job.  (ps, payout for injury has to correlate to the injury--  did you go to the er, are their pictures of your injuries, witnesses to your injuries, x rays of tissue damage, etc.)

Hope your baby is okay.  good luck

I would definitely go to the doctor to get checked out. As for the lawsuit...I've worked in restaurants for years & all of them had me sign some paperwork when I was hired that covered what happens if I got injured at work. Some had workers comp & others had something equivalent to it but a different name. I would definitely talk to your manager about their policy, especially if you need money to go to the doctor (all the restaurants I worked at would cover at least that)...good luck! I hope everything is good for you & the baby.

Be sure to file a formal complaint/injury report in case something does happen with you or your baby. Hopefully nothing happens though, I would go to the hospital to get checked out. Make sure everything with baby and placenta is fine

I wouldn't be worried about a lawsuit so much as I would my baby. Even though your baby is moving you should still get checked out just to be safe.

Not sure about the lawsuit thing, but definitely go to the doc and get a full exam, that will be crucial if a lawsuit does come up. Plus it will give you a better idea if there is any injury to your baby or the uterus, which may or may not be noticeable until baby is born, depending on the injury.

A law suit to whoever didn't put a wet floor sign out?  You have to have permanent injuries to do a law suit I think
