Ive been hairdressing for 9 years and currently 30wks. To us the only harm is the colour doesnt always fully take (i believe hormones almost coat the hair and prevent it from penetrating the hair) there is no connection between dying your hair & harm to baby. Remember in the first trimister your not allowed to to anything......xxx

My doc said as long as it isn't black dye won't be harmful to baby. I remember dying my hair early on in my pregnancy, not knowing I was pregnant...I'm a dark brown color, he did suggest holding off til around 4mo, I'm now closing in on my 38w & feel confident that my baby is just fine :)

You can dye your hair as long as the color doesn't touch your scalp. So you will need to do highlights. I am very experienced in this. Get foils done. It will look awesome!:) and make you feel good too!

It's fine at a salon like said. But I will warn you. Sometimes pregnancy hormones can affect how your hair dyes. Might not end up the color you originally wanted.

If you go to a salon and get it done it would be fine. They use less chemicals and fumes in their hair dye. I wouldn't use store but stuff...its so strong! I'm 19 weeksand I'm going to go get my hair dyed very soon bc my roots are showing terrible too!!

Try to pick one that is ammonia free. Open the windows and turn on an exhaust fan if you have one. Make sure the area is well ventilated :) and take a few breaks outside for fresh air. You should be just fine dying your hair.
