9 days to go...castor oil question

Hey ladies I'm a FTM to my two step children and so over this pregnancy. This is my first. I went to the Dr. 2 days ago and I was 1cm. Then had a ultrasound which confirmed she is head down and locked into postion and averaging about 7lb 2oz. My sister has 5 kids and brought me castor oil to try. I want to try today. Does anyone have any luck with this? I'm just over this and want to meet my lil lady!

Casteroil irritates your bowls which in turn irritates your uterus!

My sister inlaw took casrer oil, s.hit her brains out and went into labor the next day.  She drank the whole bottle in one shot not knowing your only suppose to take only a  teaspoon at a time lol

I think baby pooping is more of an issue once you're overdue. It's not something I would ever try, but as long as you're not overdue, it's probably not as risky. Although you could end up with just a lot of diarrhea for your trouble. You will have to decide if it's worth the risks.

I wouldn't recommend it. It can cause baby to have a bowel movement in the amniotic fluid and if they breathe it in they can have a lot of problems. I found out after I had taken it. My DD thankfully only pooped as she was coming out so she didn't breathe it in. Really scary though. Not worth it! Try the orange juice and whole milk combo that everyone says seems to work. Much safer.
