help me please! tooth pain!

I called my obgyn about what I can take for tooth pain. They told me to call my pcp to set up appt. For the tooth pain so they can give me meds. Well I called and they wont do an appt for it because Medicaid wont reemburse for the visit. I don't have a dentist yet. I was wondering what I could take besides tylenol because it doesn't help. Does anyone know what I can take?

I had tooth pain as well and accidentally took more Tylenol than the daily max. Turns out I had a cavity, so Orajel was no use, and it hurt so badly I couldn't stay off the Tylenol or I'd be unable to eat or talk. Since then I've had four fillings done, another four scheduled, and both wisdom teeth on top will have to be removed.
If I wasn't pregnant I wouldn't be able to have any of this done.
Way to go, government. Setting s*** minimum wages so I can't afford dental care and refusing to let me have insurance so this kind of thing doesn't happen. Sick to death of this kind of crap.

I just went through this. You need to see a dentist asap. I was given an antibiotic and perceot for pain. You can use clove oil though while you wait to see a dentist. It tastes bitter but it will numb the tooth.

Yeah like above poster said..Tylenol is the only thing you really can take for pain.
Is it the tooth that hurts or the gums around? Rinsing with salt water can help your gums.
If its an upper tooth it could be due to sinus pressure. Sometimes a sinus infection can be camouflaged by tooth pain. Try a sinus rinse to clear your nose if its stuffy or get checked for a sinus infection. If that's the problem you can take antibiotics.
Good luck hun

Tylenol is the only thing they let me take when both my wisdom teeth became infected several weeks ago, you need an antibiotic to make the pain go away completely. I've heard of them prescribing Vicodin during pregnancy but they wouldn't give it to me... Honestly get to a dentist, they can get u the meds you need with just consent from your OB
