hospital

So this morning at 3 am I went to the hospital with contrations every 3 mins that last it 1 min each....After all the pain I went thru they decided that since I was only 4cm dilated they will send me home...they actually gave me some pills to stop labor l....I mean this is my second pregnancy I know what labor feels like but anyways probably will return tonight but this time going to a different hospital I'm still having constration!

They probably stopped it because better fetal outcomes are noted at 40 weeks. The American obstetrics and gynecology released the new definitions late 2013,  of early term 37 to 38 to encourage docs and patents to keep the baby. in longer. Full term has now been defined as 39 -  40. That extra week gives the baby more time to develop surfactant for his lungs, some more fat for better thermoregulation. Etc.

They launched a patient education program to help let women know as well.

Obviously finding a doc or hospital that is not following the new recommendations is your choice. Just  want you to know why they probably did that.

Me too. They stopped my labor twice once at 35w again at 36w. Because my hospital was suited to handle babies before 37w. If I wanted my Dr to deliver me I have to use this hosp. Or some stranger Dr I have never met would have. But 37 weeks your in clear I was told. Your actually considered early term or early fullterm something along those lines.
