induce Labour? ?? due in two days

I had an appointment today with my gynecologist and she said if I'm not going to deliver my baby on my due date she gonna give me medicine next Tuesday to induce Labour I heard it's really very painful. I'm so scared bc my cervix is not open yet and other symptoms for Labour.

You can always ask to try a membrane sweep befor being officially induced!  I was 40 weeks and had my membranes sweeped, went home had sex and the next morn went into labor all on my own!

Unless there's a medical reason for you to be induced, either an issue with you or your baby, you don't have to do it. I mean once you go too far over there can be problems, but it's your body and your baby and if you're both healthy and you're really against it then you can say no. If you're worried about the pain, but otherwise ok with being induced I have heard that it usually hurts but not always. I've seen a lot of women say that it wasn't so bad.

It's not that horrible.. I had contractions for 36 hours.. the  last 2 of it I had an epidural  that didn't work.. I have horrible pain tolerance but being induced wasn't that horrible..

I was induced when I had my daughter I was so done being pregnant and the only thing that hurt was the pain going down my thighs!!! It depends on your pain tolerance btw I had a vaginal delivery with no c section and it was my first time this one is my second and hoping to be induced in two weeks.

The night before I had my first little girl, I walked unevenly on the sidewalk for a good 30 minites (one foot in the gutter and one on the sidewalk). I know it sounds stupid but I was done being pregnant and a friend said it worked for her. Long story short, my little girl came the next morning! It never hurts to try :)

If you are a first time mom and can avoid being induced I would highly recommend it. 50% of ftms that are induced end up with a csection. Good luck momma. Hope baby comes on their own.

Not to get to personal but if u want to bring labor on naturally then have sex (not to rough but pushing the limit) and then shower and walk! It always brought the labor on quick for me! That way u dnt have to be induced!
