I am diabetic as well so was induced at 39 weeks...went throught two rounds of cervidel, pitocin, got to 9 cm then his heart rate dropped and my blood pressure went up, couldn't stabilize us and went for c section....not as bad as they make it out to be. It is painful, yes, but I think the horror stories of ur vagina being ripped open and swollen, cant sit, poop, etc, is worse lol,
Ahhh! True. Just I really wasn't prepared for that. The doctor didn't even mention that with induction I have a higher chance of a required c section.
I was induced with pitocin. No epideral and had baby vaginally. You can do it.
I have gd and they also told me if i dont go to labor before 39 weeks they will induce me. I read they are 30% cances to get to ce section with induction. It is also i am not wanting to happen but at the end if it needs to happen for my baby to be ok it will happen. What metters is you and your little one are on :-)
Same here. Who hover is best. Just I felt a little bothered that the whole greater chance of c section wasn't brought to my attention.
I was induced with my first and gave birth naturally (and labour only lasted an hour and a half!!) X
I was induced with my first two kids and had no problem with a vaginal birth. Now with my third and last she is a planned csection because she is sooo big. The Dr thought I was diabetic buy all my glucose tests came back great, I passed with flying colors. You will be just fine. But remember a lot of times things don't go how you planned them out in ur head. Birth can be very unpredictable so just do what's right to keep baby and yourself safe!!!! Good luck!!!!

All 3 pregnancies so far were induced. All delivered vaginally. I have big babies lol so my doc induces a bit early..
With my first boy i was induced vaginally at 38 wks but idk about this boy only got 12 more days n wont get checked until this thursday but i doubt ima be dilated cause this boy is comfortable. If i reach my 40 wk if he dont come out ima have him induce.
Yes whichever is the best choice at the time. I was just really surprised the doctor didn't tell me there was a chance of maybe having to get a c section if the inducing doesn't work etc. Thank you for all your stories. I'm really excited. 6 more weeks to go..and its dragging!
I was induced with my first. And 32.5 hours later I had him vaginally. So don't worry.. unless baby or u are under stress then they won't do a c section.
I did not have gf with my first though I was late. My water broke on its own but they put me on patocin anyway after about 18 hours I was only 3 cm dilated...I had to have emergency c section. My son was 9 lbs 6 oz. Later the doctor's told me my hips are too narrow and that if I decide to have another that I should have a c section again. However, this time my new doctors seem to be trying to talk me into natural birth. I am not sure which one to believe. I'd rather not go into emergency c section if I'll just end up having to have one again anyway....
Remember the chances are "greater" because statistically the reason women get induced are medical; so the risk of complications is already higher. Your Dr will rate you on a scale, based on baby position, how dialated you are, etc. Better score, better chances of a successful induction. I was electively induced at 39 weeks because I wasn't progressing past 2cm with on and off contractions for 4 days. My experience was wonderful! Had her vaginaly, no tearing, all healthy.
