is it normal to have a ultrasound at 35 weeks?

The doctors have had my EDD off from the beginning. They gave me a due date of Jan 11 2015 but from my last period my due date is Dec 23 2014. They did a US today because they were concerned that the baby was big but he is measuring right on as of my last period.  Is it normal for them to do a ultrasound at 35 weeks which is the EDD of there dates or could they just be concerned about how big baby is? This is my 3rd pregnancy and my first was a big baby.

I've had ultrasounds at 19weeks, 24weeks, and 35 weeks.

They did an ultrasound for me at 35 weeks because baby was measuring behind as he usually is. They've just come to the conclusion that he's gonna be a small baby. In your case they could've done it if he was measuring ahead.

At my first ultrasound it was a vaginal one and I was 13 weeks accordingly to my last period. And he was measuring at 9 weeks. And the other 2 ultrasounds he was measuring about 2 weeks bigger according to the doctors date but 1 to 2 weeks smaller to my last period.  I also have hypothyroidism. I'm not high risk pregnancy. They didn't say how big he was he is just measuring at 38w 2d to 37w 6d as of today. My doctor told me she wouldn't be doing any other US after my 20w one.

I'm 36 wks pregnant & been having weekly ultrasounds & Fetal Monitoring Nonstress Test for about a month now. My baby is measuring Big too plus the amniotic fluid is at a high level. They thought it was gestational diabetes but my bloodwork came back normal both 1hr & 3hr. He is just measuting Big. So I wouldn't be alarmed, everyone is different & by the way this is my 3rd pregnancy & first time having the weekly ultrasounds & FMNST done.

My dr does an ultrasound at 36 wks typically.  I think they are off on my due date too.  I calculate Dec 14 they said  Jan 5th. But for my dr they do one at 1st visit. 18 weeks  and 36 weeks.
