is safe to use bengay?

I have lower back pains and was thinking bengay would be fine? Anyone used it before?

I think there's different types of bengay. The one I have has menthol.

My doc told me tiger balm is good, she even recommended it for a headache.

I was actually told by my doc that I shouldn't use bengay because it has  Methyl salicylate he said methyl salicylate is a hard toxin that your skin adsorbs and will enter into your blood stream he told me to use anything that's pure menthol  I've been using Biofeeze which I think works so much better then bengay I have a lot of old sports injuries & bengay or icy hot were my go to . even after the baby I'll stick with Biofeeze now you can't find it in the stores it's a special rub used in massage or chiropractor offices but you can buy it online I prefer the gel over the cream or rol on versions

Be sure to read the labels. Since we put this on our skin it  could atill have some affect. To be 100% ask midwife for 100% answer. Meanwhile try warm bath or warm towels and place them on your back. Hope you feel better

I live on IcyHot in my 2rd trimesters! External heat rubs are find during pregnancy, just don't eat it! :D
