My SO spent a lot of one on one time with our son when our daughter was born and we also surprised him with a congratulations on being a big brother/finishing potty training gift he was 2 years 8 months when she was born and did so good in the hospital we were so proud of him. As far as I know he never felt left out.

How old is he? I let my girls be involved in everything so they don't feel left out. When my younger daughter was born, I got my older daughter a congratulations on becoming a big sister present. Don't make everything about the baby, it can cause a lot of jealousy.
