induced due to fast labor?

Has anyone been induced due to prior fast labors? I had two babies each at 39 weeks with precipitous labor. I spoke to my dr about the fear of not getting to the hospital in time and getting an epidural especially since I have two toddlers at home and suggested it. once labor starts I have zero time to get to the hospital. I am already dilating and effaced at 36 weeks. Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this as induction isn't my ideal but having the baby in front of my toddlers would be worse lol. Dr said he thought I would be an ideal candidate to be induce at 39 weeks since baby would likely come on its own that week anyway. (No family around to help watch kids unfortunately!)

I've been induced it's not bad. I had no complications due to being induced. Yes there are a lot of horror stories and rumors of it leading to a csection but I've heard more good from it. In my experience I got to the hospital at 6 am. They started the pitocin and broke my water between 930 and 10. I had my baby at 1144. Granted not everyone goes that quick but I did. I'm hoping it will be that way again

Thanks! I am nervous of the thought of being induced because of bad induction stories, but both me and my dr are confident baby will come that week anyway and it would be safer and so much less stressful if we knew the time!
