lower bottom pain

38+1 wks 1cm dialated and suddenly having mild contractions accompanied with a sharp pressure starting at my tailbone. It's happening every 7-8 mins..never had this symptom during my first pregnancy. Is labor on the way???

Yea sitting at home until I see more improvement. Was just wondering if this was labor.

I was told by the prenatal nurse that until contractions are 5 min apart for 1 hour lasting about 1 minute each..then therea no need to go to the hospital yet unless your water breaks

Im in the same boat. The last time I was checked I was 2cm and 80% thinned out

Hmm...my water hasn't broken and I haven't lost my mucous plug to my knowledge. Then again, with my first I ended up being induced because I never dialated or had water break. So trying to wait it out until I'm for sure.

Sounds like labor... Every pregnancy is different (what the Dr keeps saying lol) it can't hurt to head on in to the hospital
