maturing placenta??? anyone???

Ok im.40+3 :(
With my 1st i had to be taken in at.38 +6 due to maturing placenta, my sis had to be taken into theatre after one of her children due to mature placenta.
My doc said my placenta is again mature but the doc above her will not take me in early as she believes it does not matter and it will not cause harm. I am so scared of going into theatre after i give birth.
I need this baby out andni need it out now as i am so worried about this.
Also the baby stops getting nutrients, air amd goodness from me if my placenta matures. How can she be so unconcerned???
Xxx

Yes that's crazy!  They obviously took your last one alot earlier bc of it.  Your more then full term now I don't know why they wouldn't induce you. My last son had a matured placenta and I had him at 37+4 he had growth restrictions because of it and was Only 4 lbs. I'd keep on them about it. At this point better out then In for your little peanut.  Goodluck momma.

Contact hospital admin?  The next level up. Explain all the medical reasons even though they should know them.  Tell them you are holding them liable if anything happens?  Good luck.
