medela vs avent

I'm a first time mom, am planning on pumping more than physically breastfeeding...
and have no idea which one to choose from. a lot of websites say medela is number one.. but avent brand looks so much more comfortable..
has anyone experienced either of them,
is Medela comfortable to use?
is it easy to clean?
I'm nervous about picking the wrong one.

I have the medela freestyle and it does not hurt to pump.  It actually feels good to pump them.  I am very large chested and had no problem using the medela.  I am exclusively breast feeding but I have an over supple of milk so I pump if I get too engorged.

I used a medela electric double. It was great!  After about 6 months, the motor started to give out(not a typical problem, judging by the reviews). But the Medela customer service is amazing! I called the service number, and they shipped me an entire new unit overnight. I had It by noon the next day. Totally  easy.

Medela Swing, single pump is nice and affordable! I personally preferred the Medela Harmony, hand pump!!  Medela is a great brand and has served me well!

I used Medela symphony last time and loved it. Easy to clean and easy to find replacement parts. A friend of mine used Advent and loved hers because you can set your own rythem.

If you have the money or if your insurance covers it, I would get the medela. Otherwise get the avent. I used the avent several times a day with my last baby for a year and never had a problem with it.

Call insurance and see which one they will cover. I chose ameda based on the reviews of how it was to clean and the fit. There really is no way to know and you can only get one a year on insurance.

And check with your insurance, my insurance covered a brand new fancy Medela double pump at no cost to me. It was the best news ever

Madela is thousands times better its amazing but extremely expensive ... I expressed using the hospitals one for my first bby ... I loved it.
Then at home I tried the advent one and it hurt my nipples my nipples got cracked and sore and I couldn't get more milk then.

I highly recommend Madela double pump electric ... the symphony is the best but soo expensive.
But worth it I'm saving for one now lol
