membrane sweep? ?
Im 38 weeks and in so much pain in my lower back, my hips, feet, and just everywhere. Im sick everyday and so uncomfortable i cant stand it anymore. Oh and another thing im not dilated and my belly hasnt dropped. With my next appt coming up marking it 39 weeks im thinking about asking my dr. For a sweep, i was wondering if you ladies think it would be an okay idea and give me an inside on what the procedure is like before asking and getting it done like im blinded about it. Thank you.
Do you gotta be somewhat dilated to have it done ?
I'm 38 weeks today and got the sweep today as well. . I didn't ask for it, hell I didn't know he was doing it til I almost fell off the table, that mess hurt!!! Any who,ob sent me to l & d thinking it would dilated me along. .NOT!! I went to the hospital at 11am, so only 2cm, which I been for 2 weeks now. . Walked for 2 hrs, still only 2.. left at 7pm, just a lot of pain, contractions in lower back and all over tummy. .. I'm going back to my dr tomorrow, to get another sweep and to schedule my induction for next Thursday, once I was told he can induce at 39, that was all she wrote.. but hopefully my son come before then

Belly doesn't have to drop! Some women's don't till they get to hospital during labor.

I am 40w4d today, just got sweep this morning n i am in labor now.,man..,this pain aint no joke. I was 3 fingers dliated this morning n now my contractions r 8mins apart. I wl say do the sweep. ^_^

Thats another reason why im affraid to ask to get my membranes swept because they said before they will not induce me and let it go for 2 weeks after my due date. But they dont understand the pain im in and can barely walk as is.
I'm 40 still closes and baby up high I'm getting induced tomorrow
