My last appt I was 37+5weeks, cervix thin, Dr felt baby's head, but not dilated. With my 1st I was a fingertip dilated from 37 weeks to 39 weeks, went into hospital at 39weeks and they were ready to discharge me after 2hrs because I was only a fingertip dilated still. They checked me and I was at 8cm
Yes your cervix can efface very quickly too.. You can literally go from 0 to full blown labor in hours... Or it can take weeks... So frustrating not knowing lol
I'm 36&5 and I've been trying the evening primrose oil for the last week cause it a suppose to help ripen your cervix to help with labor. I'm not dilated yet :( but at 38 weeks I'm going to try and insert the capsules because it suppose to be more effective at helping the cervix...maybe give that a shot!
Any tips to get into lavour fast! ! ! Im so over it
Tnx for that info it rly does help and calm me down because my baby dropped a lot the past few days I literally have to pee every 15 minutes cuz the baby is pressing down so much. And iv been cleaning like crz. Usually im a coach potato
Can your cervix eface very quickly too? And tmi but ive been more constipated lately too :/
I watched this awesome birthing video and the nurse on it said there are 7 warning signs of labor but the 3 most common were..
1) lightening..aka when the baby drops
2) nesting..you will have burst of adrenaline and it's your body trying to give you energy for labor.
3) the runs...your body will try to flush out your bowls in order to get ready for pushing.
These signs are a better way to judge when you little one is coming because you can be dilated at a couple centimeters for weeks... Kind of off topic but I hope this helps! :)
You could dialate in a matter of hours... So it doesn't really mean anything. I am 39 + 3 and still not dialated... Doc assured me that it can happen really fast so not to worry.
I want to know too. Im 38 weeks today only 1 cm
