over reacting??

Ok so my family told me they were going to come to my house when my daughter is born so they can see the baby. I was really excited because i always drive to see them and for once they are coming to me and making a trip about me. Well tonight i find out that my uncle is coming down here to see me and the baby AND wants to get married to his finance :' my mom and aunt think its special that we'll all be together and nice that he wants to share his wedding since they live a long ways away. Im upset because its kinda also making it about him and im not taking a 3 day old baby to stand on a beach in.june in texas and watch him get married :/ do you think im just having a hormonal reaction or is it legit?

I would just think he is trying to kill two birds with one stone.

I think it's a great idea.  A new baby,  and a beach-side wedding are great celebrations of life.

I agree it's probably hormones causing you to feel this possessive of your family's attention - and any mention you make that you don't want to be celebrating anything else but your baby will put a damper on your gathering.

Everyone coming together in your town to celebrate your baby and to have a very informal wedding will be remembered by everyone forever.  Great that everyone is willing to travel to be there!

I wouldn't attend the wedding with a 3 day old baby.. Not to mention ifn you're like most people you'll still feel pretty rough from childbirth only 3days later.

I can understand your frustrations but it does sound a lot like hormones. Dont worry, no matter what else is going on. A newborn always takes over the room :)
