pregnant and breastfeeding

I have a 10 month old and shes still nursing. I still havent gotten a period but the last few days everytime i feed her i start to feel really sick. I decided to take a test this morning and it was positive! I am still in shock! Since i havent  had a period the thought of pregnancy never crossed my mind. Anyone still breastfeeding? Are you going to keep going or start to wean. I dont know what to do!

Thanks for the input! I want to keep going, ill just have to get through this 1st tri of sickness and nipple pain. Its so confusing trying to figure out if ineed to throw up or if it's just a feeling. Ugh! I got to the doctor monday so ill talk with him about vitamins and anything else he feels necessary. I want these babes to be healthy.. oh me too! ;)

I guess it really depends on your Dr. Mine doesn't feel that both can get what they need and nutrition wise my baby was not needing breast milk anymore anyways. Consult your physician to see how they feel as they know your indivual health.

Make sure to compensate nutrients. I got pregnant the third time when my daughter was 6 months old. I had to wean her at 13 months because my teeth started breaking. The doctor told me that three pregnancies so close together and breastfeeding while pregnant was taking too many nutrients from me.

My daughter is two and still nursing, I am 31 week's pregnant. Nothing wrong with continuing to nurse your baby as long as you feel it is the right thing for you and baby. Good luck.

I was breastfeeding while pregnant and my midwife said it was perfectly fine. My daughter self weaned at 23 months while I was just starting my second trimester. I would have done tandem nursing if she needed it, but she obviously didn't. Congrats on the new baby and you can breastfeed as long as you like!
