question about midol

I know docs say you have to take tynenol but that's not working for me. To make a long bitching and complaining story short my migraines are unbearable. Midol has tynenol, caffeine. Pyrilamine maleate in it. The only thing I'm weary about is the last ingredient, even though its just 15mg. My freakin doctor is not calling me back to tell me what I can do even though you name it. I've tried it, hollistic, non hollistic. She did say yesterday to take 4 Advil but I wasn't going to do that, my instincts told me no, but my instincts with midol say it will be ok. I'm at a loss on what to do, layinfg down everyday relaxing when I get a migraine everyday is just not an option when I have a house to take care of, a 12week puppy to train and watch and a husband who eats twice what I do who I also take care of. So what do you think.

I've tried benadryl, it makes me to sleepy and I feel messed up when I take it. Since I've got a 12 week puppy who can't always be in the crate I've got to be on my a game. I've been trying the benadryl route and I can't be so sleepy.

Yea I did, I feel so much better. I'm happy that now I can keep up with my responsibilities. My husband is a supporter of suck it up saying, so now Im glad I won't feel the urge so much to punch him in the face lol bc I'm not in pain.

The important thing is your dr called and gave you the go ahead to take what works. Hopefully you will be able to get some relief. :)

Yea for some reason drinking caffine doesn't work as well for me as taking it in pill form. I don't know why but its always been that way. I get a stronger effect in pill form and I drink some strong coffee and it doesn't have the same effect, I even over did it once and drank more then I was suppossed to and it still didn't help combined with tynenol. And thanks for making me feel better. I love this forum I don't know what is do without the support

I took Tylenol, chugged a cup of coffee, and ate a handful of chocolate chips. It's basically the same principle as midol.

You are tough. You're not complaining, you're seeking help. The other thing I have heard from others is take the Tylenol and drinking a cup of coffee. Then you can get the Tylenol and caffeine. Just be sure you drink lots of water. Caffeine causes dehydration. Good luck.

Yea I wonder but I drink so much water idk. I called my doctors emergency line since they have not called me back. And hopefully ill hear from them soon. Good point though but we'll see. I'm hoping its at least got to be better then taking the Advil.I got bitched at by my husband today for not taking proper care of the dog bc of how I was feeling and I just can't tough it out when I cant see straight and am so nauseated. I guess I suck at being tough period. I feel so annoying for constantly complaining about this. I just have never had migraines so bad before where nothing would work that I would take.

I had bad headaches for a few days at a time luckily I have had it to bad recently Tylenol extra strength worked for me. Now u could be getting headaches cuz ur not drinking enough water I know that's my prob to also it could be from not getting enough sleep or stress. What also helps cuz I beleive in natural I usually don't like taking pills but rubing certain pressure points on ur head or ur hands helps to. I hope that kinda helped.

I would be concerned about the midol because it is also designed to get rid of water retention. Pregnant women are already prone to dehydration.
