self esteem

I've been horribly depressed with no self esteem.. I've always struggled with my weight and now that I'm pregnant I'm eating a lot better and been active but i feel like i just look fatter than before, not pregnant. I feel ashamed to go out in public, especially with my boyfriend because I'm thinking that people are making fun of him for being with a fat girl... I'm afraid that he's not going to want to stay with us and going to leave us... I'm afraid that i don't deserve to be a mom and i have no business bringing a child into the world with my issues (body image and otherwise)... I'm afraid that i waited too long to have a kid and now I'll be too old (I'll be 32 when she's born). This is my first baby, I'm 21w + 4 and i just feel out of control and overwhelmed and anxious and not sure if i can do this... I'm wrought with "what if" questions all the time... I feel so out of control of my life and my body and my emotions right now.

We are all scared! Feeling fat and with self doubt, you are not alone. See if you find something that makes you feel nicer,  get your nails done or buy a cute maternity top. Wear some makeup and relax,  second thoughts are normal and a sign you will make a great mom!

Being pregnant is a beautiful thing no matter what your size! Just remember that baby is the most important thing in your life and he or she is not going to care what you look like. Make sure you let your Dr know how you are feeling they may have some great resources for you!

Dear mommy to be! To be pregnant is to be vitally alive, thoroughly woman and undoubtedly inhabited and is a blessing. The fact that you are helping God bring a soul into this world makes you the most beautiful person ever! Plz stop looking down on yourself.  How u feel is all in your head. Plz do it for your little one. Being fat even if you are not pregnant is not something u choose to be...pl embrace and love yourself and so will other people around u. Your post breaks my heart. No mother should ever feel like that.
