My mother in law just informed me I need to get some good shoes while pregnant so that my feet don't expand into a bigger size. I normally just wear toms and ankle boots, don't normally go for anything with good support! Any suggestions?

Both pregnancies I've just worn my normal flats. My feet didn't change size.

Yeah, comfy shoes help with back and hip pains, but honestly as far as swelling goes, like she said it's all dependent on the pregnancy (even the same woman can have different kinds of pregnancies)

Avoid consuming too much salt, or high sodium foods, eat bananas and drink water! I am 38 weeks, and have no swelling :) I am not crazy about what I eat I just try to make sure I drink more water I'd I eat processed foods.

If you do develop lovely cankles, or swollen legs, just elevate them for a bit :)

Well feet swelling is different for everyone.  My mom's feet went crazy when she was pregnant but Mine hardly changed.
