I've tried everything. With my first I was so excited cuz I didn't have any - until after I had my son. This time around I got tons early - I think cuz I lost so much weight.
I'm 32 weeks, haven't had any stretch marks yet. My mom did get them, but she also got bigger than I have. I use bio oil. I'm not sure if it's really doing anything but it does feel nice and keeps my belly from getting itchy. Might as well give it a shot. My boyfriend bought me two big bottles on amazon for about $20 I think
I used Burt's Bees Belly Butter my first pregnancy and have no stretch marks. I love it, I am using it again for my second pregnancy. You can get it at Target or order it online.
Stretch marks actually are genetic. If mom got them, chances are you will too. And there is zero you can do to prevent them bc it's actually the middle layer of skin stretching. Lotions don't make your skin more elastic so you can lather on the cocoa butter all you want, if you're gonna get them it's inevitable.
You can't prevent them, if they want to come they will. That's just the way it is lesson learned!
Its not a genetic thing, it has to do with your body's elasticity...the stretching of your skin. Many will get them and many will not. Ive used Palmers coco butter stretch mark lotion with all my pregnancies, but again it all depends on your body.
You can take cocoa butter cream (it's thicker than the lotion and will stay on longer) and put a couple drops of bio oil in your hand with the lotion, rub together and put all over your belly, hips, boobs, thighs (inside and out) and your butt! Bc everything is stretching and stretch marks will appear anywhere! It's not proven that the lotion or oil actually prevents them but it helps keep your skin moist so at least if you do get them they won't be so bad, hopefully light. But let's hope we get none at all!!! : )
Bio oil.
I literally use it only few times a week (cause I'm lazy to put it on) lol .. But it's helped a lot and a lot of people say it's better then lotions
I am 34 weeks and up untill this week my belly was stretch mark free. But I got some on my lower abdomen a couple small ones and I've been using Palmers coco butter cream religiously and my mom never got them. Some say it generic, but I think if your going to get them you do and if your not you don't. But they can appear any time even really late in pregnancy. So Good Luck to you:-)
Coconut oil mixed with Frankincense essential oil! Frankincense is expensive, but has healing properties in it. 5 drops of frankincense to 2oz of coconut oil. Store in glass.
I'm 30w and have been using coco butter for 12ish weeks and haven't had a stretch mark yet.
Try bio oil, you can get it from the chemist. Apply liberally and two times a day at least if u can.
Well stretch marks are genetically passed down most of the times, but what you can proactively do is start using palmers coco butter for stretch marks or shea butter from an African store. It works wonders. It has lightened mine after giving birth. Dont worry be proud to wear your hard own zebra stripes!!!! Good luck
