summer baby

My first was born in winter so we were cooped up in the house till she was 5 months old. My second will be born in June/early July. I don't want t my 4 yr old locked up in the house all summer bc of the newborn. Can the baby go out in the heat? Can we take a trip to the beach? What are the DOS and donts of a newborn in the summer???

They also make sun shields/bug nets that go right on the infant seats now. They are AWESOME very breathable plenty of ventilation. I have Always used a spray sunscreen on my summer babies because it dries fast and I can just spray a little in my hand and get their head And face too. Ummmm as far as At the beach if you're going to bring a port a crib with you you can either get sun shields for it oooooor if you like the idea of saving a little money you can use a fitted sheet right over the top :) like Lexus said hat to keep the sun off Barbie face ears and head. Other than that just watch baby for signs of dehydration or being to hot and you should be fine. Tho for car rides I deff recommend ac on the really hot days
