I'm 40+4 and have had football feet for about a month. It's normal. It's cause our belly are growing and putting a lot of weight on our hips.. it's slowly cutting off circulation. No concern, I just kind of hold as much as my belly as I can up when I walk around.
yeah my doc said that's due to water retention. reduce your salt intake and keep your feet elevated whenever possible.
for me it also reduced when I switched from closed shoes to open slippers where my legs were less cramped.
If it's pitting adema it can be a sign of preeclampsia (especially if the swelling moves to hands and face). When you make an indent does it stay or pop right back out? If it stays it is pitting adema.
Go to your doc and have them check your blood pressure, urine protein, and look at your adema. Do you have any other symptoms, like blurred vision, headache, confusion? You're already 40 weeks so there wouldn't be any harm in inducing you now.
It can be 'normal' but if it's a lot of swelling, you have to take precaution for preeclampsia.
I just noticed the other night that my legs were a bit puffed up at the end of the day. I'm only 27 weeks, ugh!
I'm 39+5 and I have this too. Even in my fingers I haven't been able to wear my rings for weeks now.
I'm 39 weeks and am experiencing this. My doctor said it's normal unless they become painful. And to just keep my feet elevated for a little while.
