Sorry my comment got posted before i finished typing. I always had a scorn for taking pills so i had a hard time with my prenatals. My son is now 5 months old and healthy as ever. Im not saying you should risk it but youll definitely be okay by not taking them for only one day

Nothing will happen. Dont worry yourself. If you feel bad about it then eat super healthy to make up for it. Im not proud of this but during my first pregnancy, i only tool my prenatals during the first trimester and i stopped. I have this

If you get sick BC of the vitamins, perhaps try them at night, especially if your nausea (not caused by the vitamins) is coming during other times of day. Also, some women have issues with certain kinds because of the iron, regardless of when you take them.

The reason the doctor probably freaked out is because prenatals contain higher amounts of folic acid, which help prevent neural tube defects during early development. All women who are sexually active should be taking at least 400mg of folic acid a day. Most don't get enough just from the food they eat. It is especially important to take the prenatals if you don't eat a balanced diet or if you were vomiting a lot in the early days. All the vitamins help with baby's growth and development. I take fish oil and extra vitamin D in the winter because we live in Canada and the fish oil because I don't eat fish or eggs so I don't get omega 3 fatty acids from foods (which are super important for brain development).

Just don't take your calcium with your iron at the same time.calcium makes your body unable to absorb the iron if taken together

You are fine. I can't even take them my first trimester due to sickness and after that I definitely don't remember every day. I have a healthy vitamin filled diet and that's more important I think. All my babies are healthy and strong :)

I didn't take my prenatals with my first baby he came out very healthy no problems and hes on the thick side tall this second pregnancy I didn't take them either because they bring up nausea. Just remember to eat well lots of dairy protein fruits and veggies every day and you won't need them .

OK. Thanks I was a little worried because the doctor made such a big deal the first day I went in, when I told him I wasn't taking the prenatals 8 weeks into my pregnancy.
