working moms!

I am a server and I want to work up to my due date. The work is not too strenuous, but I am hoping my big boy can wait until my due date and not come early. I would hate to leave them hanging. I need all the money I can make. Plus, I dont want to be bored at home....

I'm a server as well and this is my third baby.  With my first two I was able to work up until my due date. But this pregnancy is alot harder on my body.  I'm 36+2 and dying at work.  So I think it just depends on how you feel.

I'm 35 weeks and still going strong.   Full time nurse.  The 12 hour shifts make me tired but I'm working up until 40 weeks so that I can have a full 11-12 weeks off with my baby girl.

I'm hoping to work until my due date as well. I'm only 6 weeks but I work in childcare so I'm nervous to see how it will be at 8/9 months dealing with 2 year olds all day

Hi there.  I love your strong work ethic hon.  That's great.  I would say just rest when you can and hopefully it will all go as planned.  I'm crossing my fingers for you sweetie.  good luck

I was up and down at my job, started going into preterm labor... Had to leave a month early. Work while you can, don't ignore your body and make sure to drink tons of water... Good luck!

No advice, but I'm hoping to work up to the last minute too. I'm 25wks+5 & work on an ambulance, and it's not all that unheard of. I have a friend at another service currently at 35 weeks and she's still going strong! As long as your body holds out, you're good to go. Take days off as you need them, make them up later, if you're able, to keep up the cash flow. I do have another friend of mine weeks ob wants her off the truck no matter what at 30 weeks though, so just talk to your doc.
