Hello-
Let me start by saying my husband and I have settled into a mid-40's lifestyle and by mutual choice are not planning on having children. He is 48. At the outset, I don't want to make it appear I would not consider a child a blessing, it's just our choice in life.
According to calculations, I was ovulating at the time we had very brief, unprotected penetration only with no ejaculation and according to him, not even near a feeling he was getting near orgasm.
Two things come into play here. We know the chances of chromosomal issues are high with women my age and that is why we use protection religiously. We don't even engage in unprotected penetration 99.9% of the time, save for this last episode. Compounding all of this is that I am facing a job layoff and I am the sole source of insurance coverage.
I guess what I am asking is, statistically, what are the odds that if there WERE pre-seminal fluid discharged that those limited swimmers would even make it to where they needed to go considering our ages and especially MY age and typical egg production at this stage?
Thanks for any input.
