Am I pregnant? Is it ectopic?

Around 7 days before my period was due, I had the usual tender breasts that I get every menstrual cycle. Period was due July 22nd and July 20th I started brown discharge/spotting. It doesn't ALWAYS do this before a period but almost always after a period so I thought I was just starting a couple of days early. But for 3 days that's all it did. Sometimes it was more sometimes it was less and nothing much came out. On day 3 during the night it seemed to be more of a BARELY noticeable pinkish and some of the next day, but completely cleared up throughout the day to clear discharge. As it was doing the spotting, my tender breasts started easing up quite a bit like this was my period but my periods are usually heavy on day 2 and 3 and last around 6 days. I waited for my period but it never truly came. It is now the 26th and I have yet to take a pregnancy test. I have had mild mild cramping since the 21st and my breasts aren't tender or sore but my nipples are just a little. The cramping isn't always actual cramps...sometimes it's just uncomfortable and I have anxiety so it freaks me out because it's staying on the right side. It moves sometimes to more my lower side. Last night it did seem to ease up and go away for a while if I passed gas so I thought that maybe it was just that. But I have also been reading about ectopic pregnancies and scaring myself about those. What's going on? :/

So, a pregnancy test really needs to be done.  Otherwise, you may have a simple cyst on your ovaries.  Once you take a pregnancy test, you'll have needed information to proceed.

Could a cyst cause you to miss a period too?

Also I forgot to add that the "uncomfortable" feeling on my right side, I have felt every month around ovulation. So it isn't anything new that I've never felt before. It's just the fact that I'm worried about being pregnant that makes me think the worst.
