So, perhaps you tested too early. But in general, when taken at the right time, home pregnancy tests are really accurate. Women can be late for a variety of reasons such as weight gain or loss, changes in routine, stress, illness or just a blip in the hormonal radar. Spotting can happen when late. Or it could be early pregnancy spotting. Don't read too much into discharge as you really can't tell much from that in my opinion. I charted my temperature which if you don't do that, you might start. You take your temp every morning when you wake up. I kept a thermometer by my bed and did it before I even got up and put in a chart. You'll see a pattern. When you ovulate, your temp will noticeably go up. It stays up until your period starts. UNLESS you are pregnant in which case it stays up. My tempt stayed up two times in the years that I charted . . .both times I was pregnant. So, that's a handy way of knowing. Next cycle, try it. Anyway, I'd wait a full week and take another test if you haven't started your period. And please know it takes couples on average a full year to conceive when trying. It will happen in time, hon. good luck
