Fingering risks...

Hi,

My fiance and I got carried away while being intimate. We did not indulge in penetrative sex and were clothed. During which, I may have touched her privates but did not digitally penetrate her. She started the 1st day of her period when this occured. Her cycles are regular 27/28 days. There is a possibility that our undies were damp/moist due to frottage.

She took an oral emergency contraceptive on the 2nd day (within 48 hrs) to be safe, which I think was not required.

1. What are the risks for pregnancy from this act?
2. Should she expect any withdrawal bleeding?
3. Will her periods be normal from the next cycle?

Sep 26th - 1st day of Period.
Next period expected - 23rd Oct.
Av Length of Period - 27 days.

Thanks in advance. Request Ms.Rose to also answer this if possible!

There is zero risk of pregnancy from this situation.  And yes,  she should expect some bleeding,  and possible disruption of normal periods for up to a few months,  which is nothing to worry about,  it's just a side effect of the emergency contraception pill.

Best wishes.

Thank you very much! Appreciate it.
Is it definite that the periods will be disrupted for a few months or will she have normal periods in the next couple of cycles?
Nothing is definite but it is normal to be 2 to 3 months with irregular bleeding after taking emergency contraceptive. So she might get no period or she may spot or have periods every 3 weeks instead of 4. It looks different in all women but not having a period on time is most normal. Since you had no risk of pregnancy from this, she'll just have to ride that out but should not expect or fear pregnancy from this.
Thank you very much for your comments and reassurance !
I have a follow up question on this. It's been 28 days since taking the emergency contraceptive, still there has been no period. Regular period was expected around 23rd/24th Oct. Is this delay normal? How long more to wait for period to start? Two weeks ago there was light spotting. What does that mean?
Hi hivedoff, I think that is normal after plan b.  The irregularity is all part of what happens from taking the hormones.
